Dead Letter

Good news last night - Dead Letter took second prize in the Bench Theatre Playwriting Competition, which gave me a real boost. My work never seems to get placed in competitions so I was very chuffed indeed. This is what they said: “We were particularly impressed with our two prize-winners; both were felt to be engaging, well-crafted stage plays, and both had a lot of support among the reading panel.”

Unfortunately, second place doesn’t lead to production, but Exeter University Theatre Company is currently considering it, so fingers crossed for that.

I’ve only just seen this - very well done! I’d love to be able to write plays, but would have no idea how to begin. And good luck with Exeter University.

Same from me, Sam. Big congrats and hopefully Dead Letter will see production… Will you be coming over for it if it does?
