Good News & Humble Pie

Some interesting news this weekend - Magna Audio Books are recording the Audio version of Another Time and Place this week. They wanted to know how to pronounce my surname - Gro.sser or Grow.sser. For the record, it’s Gro.sser. The book will be read by Trudy Harris and will be an unabridged version, which I’m very happy about.

Now, time to eat some humble pie. Having ranted in a previous post about historical fiction nutters I now have an admission to make. The reviewer who questioned the historical accuracy of Another Time and Place was actually correct in one of her assertions. It was impossible to buy luxury items of underwear. I did know that utility underwear was basically all that was available but my research didn’t reveal quite how awful this underwear really was, so at the time of writing I was under the impression that some of it was quite pretty. Further research, alas, has proved me wrong. I apologise.
