Making Plans at Bristol Grammar School
I’ve been a bit remiss with the blog of late - life just seems to get in the way sometimes. Last week I had a chat with Lucy Shepherd, the librarian at Bristol Grammar School, who has very kindly offered to host my very first book event, on November 8th.
I’ve walked past BGS a thousand times in my years in Bristol but I’ve never been inside. The great hall is worthy of Hogwarts, and the library is quite impressive too. I like the idea of a school that has been around since 1534. We had a cup of coffee and talked about Another Time and Place, and numbers for the event could range from 5 to 75. I think somewhere in between would be good.
I’ve also now booked Clifton Bookshop as the venue for my launch party on November 9th at 6 p.m. It’s all starting to seem very real and exciting and not a little nerve-wracking.
